My Online Shop : Parts Runner

I’ve finally decided to sell my stuffs online. Check it out at : http://www.mudah.my/partsrunner

As usual, prices is negotiable!

More Good News!

My friend Hisham Jahudi called me a few times earlier today, but I was sick and busy with work during the morning – afternoon session.

I called him back later, and he got some good news for me. The owner agreed to reduce the price by RM 1k, but the catch is I have to do the Puspakom inspection and JPJ ownership changeover myself.

It’s certainly doable, but I’ll need to have the car with me one day in advance, so that I can drive it to Proton R3 department to have them dismantle the 6 point roll cage and keep it there. Then I’ll wait up outside Puspakom from 5.30 a.m, get the car inspected and approved, then off to JPJ to get the ownership changeover process done.

I may need to send the necessary documents tomorrow directly to Public Bank Setapak branch’s Hire Purchase Manager so that the approval process would take a much lesser time. Most probably, I’ll get the approval by Friday. Then come Saturday, pay up the balance to the owner and drive the car to R3 to remove the roll cage, refit the original driver seat, and then drive home. Come Monday, get all the necessary process done, and drive back to R3 in the evening to refit the roll cage!

Oh yes, the selling price of gold rose up again after it went down a bit yesterday. Oh, how I wish it’ll rise up to RM 135.xx tomorrow! Extra money!

The Sun Might Just Rise At The Horizon!

Had a long talk with my mother yesterday.

It seems that my dream car, might be mine.

Loan – wise, it will not be a problem. I’m very2 sure it’ll be approved.

On another subject, had a chat with Bernard @ Mr Maddriver.

Good to know that there are well – informed mechanics out there.

We chatted about what modifications can be done to the engine.

Man, I would want to get the crank + rod balanced and lightened, but if I do have the car, I don’t have the cash and time for it.

I didn’t disclose to him that we were discussing about the Proton Satria Neo Clubsport. I just told him that I’m contemplating to purchase a bog – standard Proton Satria Neo 1.6 litre with a manual gearbox instead.

Why?

Who knows, if I fail to buy the car.

He is a well – informed mechanic, that’s for sure. He told me, just change the whole exhausts system [ RM 1,000.00 all in ], get the head done, and change the stock main pulley to a aluminium – made that’s dampened [ good stuff! more harmonic balance means smoother power delivery, smoother RPM range! RM 700.00 +- ]. He told me that would be a good fast road setup.

I asked about if I have the car, and choose to have the complete exhaust system changed, and have the cylinder head cleaned up and ported. He offers, especially, on the cylinder head part :
- cleaned everything up.
- change the valve guides [ good practice here to ensure the valves moves smoothly ]
- port the intake and exhaust ports, with the right way of doing it, that is, the intake port is enlarged properly [ not too large, or not large enough ] and the finish on the intake port is kept slightly rough [ not sure whether it'll be a slightly uniform finish ] with the exhaust port smoothed and polished up
- 3 angle valve cut
- plus new gaskets, workmanship / labour costs, and the head will be done via a Serdi machine too!

All that, for Proton Satria Neo 1.6 litre head, RM 1500.00 only! I’d say that’s a good deal, plus the one doing it, is Mr Bernard himself!

I forgot to ask him, how he’ll check the airflow after the porting job is done.

The only negative points is that :
- you need to set up an appointment date [ this is a good sign that the mechanic will only do your car, and yours alone until it's done! ]
- takes up a week or up to two weeks [ you're you're car - less for the time being, unless you can bring him a stock, spare head for him to do the porting job ].

The Proton Satria Neo Clubsport, came with 120++ WHP, with the cylinder head + block still stock [ I think the power came from R3's complete exhaust system, K&N drop - in filter element, and the ECU remap done by R3 ]! Imagine if I get the cylinder head ported properly and change the main pulley to Mr Maddriver’s offering! At least another 5 WHP easy!

Then change the final drive to something bigger, and we’re talking!

Dark Clouds and Thunderstorms, Closing In Fast.

I couldn’t sleep last night. I can only fall asleep at 8.00 a.m today.

I couldn’t sleep because I kept on thinking about the way my old man discussed with me last night.

Plus today, when my old man the the ” Financial Minister ” walked into the shop, their mood is somewhat somber.

Now it looks like, either I sell of anything that I can sell off to further fund the down payment, or forget about the Clubsport entirely.

Initial Discussion Done.

Those who knows me well, understands what I have to go thru, just to get the approval to submit a car loan.

My old man.

Why? ‘Cause since I’m working for him, I receive my pay, in cash, hence no proof in bank statements whatsoever, and I will need to use his documents to apply for a car loan [ since the business is in his name, although I'm the one running the show now ].

As of now, the old man agrees, although he does not know what type of Neo this is lolz. I know that once I say the words : roll cage, he will immediately say no.

Whatever it is, I will submit the documents Monday morning to Public Bank Berhad’s Hire Purchase Manager, who happens to be a friend of mine. I’m very thankful because I have friends who’ll help out to their best abilities.

Affan, I thank you loads for your help bro. TT and nasi lemak on me once I get the ride, or if I not, once the oldie Kancil gets out from the ICU bay.

I’m praying hard and crossing my fingers!
